SUMMER OF MORE

If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know we were just hosted for a magical stay at the Gaylord Opryland resort in Nashville, Tennessee. After road tripping from Chicago we were ready for our Summer of More!

Families can explore the resort and the beautiful atriums and never leave the resort. Should you choose to leave, an outlet mall and other attractions are just steps away. Be prepared to get in LOTS of steps, I highly recommend bringing a good pair of walking shoes!

If you’re not familiar, The Gaylord Opryland is situated in the heart of Nashville. The multi atrium complex houses a convention center, nearly 3000 guest rooms and suites, and 9 acres of indoor gardens. We enjoyed a lovely atrium room with balcony, which meant we had gorgeous views of the indoor gardens. It’s also home to 20 eateries, an indoor/outdoor water park and countless other family friendly activities.

Right now the Summer of More is happening, through September 5, 2022. Just imagine, more fun, more delectable dining, more experiences and MORE!!! The theme this summer is Pirates and Princesses and there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Kai met Princess Magnolia & some of her pirate crew!

We enjoyed the Battle for the Blue Diamond riverboat ride. This is great for kids AND kids at heart. Imagine a cruise that docks just in time for a live play starring pirates who capture a princess, only to discover she’s a pirate princess! Upon boarding, each guest receives a special illuminator to help find the blue diamond and then a treasure upon completion of the ride! Kai had a great time. Check out some behind the scenes HERE.

Our second day was full of adventure! We headed to the Family Fun Zone to get started. Located on Delta Island, the Family Fun Zone is a central location for kiddos to paint in the Treasure Trove Art Studio, start the Shiny Stash Scavenger Hunt and attend Pirates and Princesses Academy!

An instant favorite of our entire group was Soundwaves! This upscale indoor/outdoor water park has it all. Situated on 4 acres, the 3-level attraction has dedicated recreation zones for adults, young children and families. You can also rent a bright and airy private cabana, indoor or outdoor, to relax in while hanging out at the park. There’s even a cafe, Decibels, for quick grab and go drinks and snacks.

The slides, wave pool, lazy river, and activity pool were all big hits! Kai lived her very best life going from one area to the next! Pro-tip, I brought Kai’s puddle jumper along BUT the resort has US coast guard approved life vests for littles in need. So, save that luggage space for souvenirs!

While the kids splashed and played, the mommas made their own waves with an impromptu poolside photoshoot! I told you there was something for everyone!! There is also a adult only outdoor pool/lounge to be enjoyed by those 18 and older.

If you’re looking for a family friendly resort to check out this summer, and beyond, look no further than the Gaylord Opryland! Everything you need is in one convenient location. Make sure you check out my Instagram for more behind the scenes HERE and HERE!!

As always thanks for following and be well!
